Yours Truly.. haha

Hey people..Yours truly is back once again to bring you some good news! Haha.. I just passed out as a 3rd Sergeant in the Armour Training Institute. 22wks of long training locally and overseas isn't that easy. But i made a lot of good friends throughout this long time. This is the longest specialist course in the SAF and I'm glad that I've made it through. Right from the start, i didn't wanted to say or rather I should say that I wanted to get myself downgraded and land myself in some easier job in the SAF, which means "chao keng". I just wanted to give up on this 3rd Sergeant stripes. But I failed to do it mainly because my bunkmates pushed me on to go through it together as one united section and all to pass out together as Armour Specialists.

22 weeks have gone, 10 out of the 11 of us made it through, one of us failed the course and one managed to downgrade himself after we passed out. Fortunately, as for me and my band of brothers of the section, we are still fighting strong as healthy 3rd Sergeants. But for most of us, I guess we are not as fit as we were once due to the slackness towards the end of course. Haha.. I'm posted to my new unit, 41st Singapore Armour Regiment as a Vehicle Commander, with some of my brothers.

Today is my last day of block leave, and I'm going to report to my new unit tomorrow, taking 2nd year soldiers as my men. I've heard plenty of rumours about 41 SAR for being the hell of Armour as it will be very siong, something like 10km route march and reverse SOC specially for the newly specialists who just posted there. But no choice, I still gonna face it as it comes along. I really hope physically I can manage to do it as well as mentally. Okay guys thats all for today, catch up with you guys soon. =)

hi everyone... its been such a long time ever since i last updated the blog. Sorry guys..ns has taken away so much of my time. From the last entry, i talked about me graduating from BMT to SISPEC. Currently I'm going through the longest specialist course in SAF, which is Armoured Infantry Section Commander Course... It will take me 21 weeks for this course. I would consider this course is the most unlucky course that anyone would ever wanna get in. It is super "shiong" and tiring. This course is separated into 2 sub-courses. I'm under the Bionix Course. Bionix is the name of the vehicle that I'm trained in. But I'm not going to go into details.

Well, I prayed that this year 2008 is gonna be the best year yet after a dreaded 2007. But I still wanna thank God for 2007, a quite "eventful" year for me though. Looking back of the blessings I got, from PSP to clothes to Itouch, its quite a number eh. God has been faithful to me and I prayed that God will continue to pour forth His blessings to everyone as well. Personally, i think i have achieve some goals for myself, like losing weight and improving my closet. Now, E361 has grown bigger in the sense that now Kenneth's cg is under CJ's care, and it's been such a long time ever since I attended cg due to ns, and I'm kinda missing the feeling. Hope that I can squeeze some time to go for cg in these coming weeks. Okay, thats all for now guys, take care and have a wonderful 2008 ahead. See you guys around. =)

hello people... i am back...after a long long time.. after i finish my BMT, i am posted to SISPEC to be trained as a corporal then go for another course which is dependent on the vocation i will be posted at the end of this current course, to become a sergeant. Life isn't good in SISPEC as compared to BMT. Schedule is packed from before the sun rises until the sun set. Physically, i am tired..mentally, i am worn out. But still, God is my strength and i believe He will keep me going till it is over. This week onwards till Deepavali, my training is going to be more intensive. 3 Field camps and more outfields are coming up. I am going to spend my days in the jungle and i will be going back to Tekong for my last field camp. To be honest, there are times when i really want to give up, life is so different from the obese BMT to a specialist training course. There are not enough of rest... I realized that after i get into SISPEC, my temper gets heated up easily, probably due to lack of rest and sleep.. haha.. 3 weeks has gone, and i have 7 weeks more to go.. 30th Nov is what i am looking forward to. Guys, i need your prayers... It is really going to be tougher as time goes by. I shall end my entry here. Good day.. take care friends... see you guys soon. =)

Sunday, September 02, 2007

hi friends...i am back after a long long time... haha.. 19th Sept is my P.O.P.. time flies, isn't it? but when i am in camp, time don't really flies. but thats not the point... i am going towards the end of my first phase of ns life and have been wondering where am i heading towards in the next phase? SISPEC, OCS or any other unit? A sergeant told me that i did quite well for my SIT test(which is one of the criteria for SISPEC or OCS), and i should "chiong" for my IPPT in order to qualify myself for command school. I told this news to some of my friends... some came with encouraging words asking me to persevere to aim for the high, while some does not have a very encouraging remarks. but anyway it is not up to me to decide where i am going to. I was just listing some pros and cons for going to a command school or a "relax" 8 to 5 unit.. a command school will burn my personal time away, more tough trainings, more outfields, but i get more money and pride maybe? and probably a easier life in the later part of ns... a "relax" 8 to 5 unit like driver etc, will give me more time which can be used for furthering my drums and studies, probably a free driving license? but a mundane life for the next 2 years and lesser money of course... its kinda confusing for me, but whatever it is, i will just do my best in everything i have to do and see where God leads me to. praise God for command school or even a relax unit, i will take everything easy and lets wait and see... i don't deny that i have this little desire to go for command school, but at the same time, i also kinda feel lethargic in those "chiong swa" days..perhaps an easy way out in ns is good? or an adventurous life is better? i am still unsure.. 22nd Sept is my posting, and 24th Sept will be my new unit reporting day.. tmr is my IPPT and tues is my 24km route march... pls pray for me my friends... take care and see u guys soon.. i will blog again when i have the time...haha =)

hoho!! i am going to POP on 19th Sept... time flies.. i am in army for almost 2 months.. i am slowly getting used to the feeling of losing freedom.. everytime i long for book out, and dread for book in..but time seems to fly super fast especially when u're outside enjoying some pathetic freedom.. haha.. but one thing good about NS is that it is a good chance for me to shed some weight and indeed i lost 11kg ever since i first enlisted and more to come in these coming weeks. Fully-packed weeks are drawing closer..SIT test, route marches, grenade throwing, IPPT etc etc.. So far, i have completed most of the main event in BMT like, live range, field camp, urban op etc etc.. Life is getting bored each day in tekong... but still life still has to go on.. just hang on and move on.. Thank God for the creation of PSP.. i just bought my precious yesterday.. haha..its white, its sleek, its sexy, its my friend.. lol.. see you guys soon..booking in later.. =(
